In this article, we’ll explain how to add new DNS records to your domains on Cloud and Managed WordPress plans.
These could be A, CNAME or TXT records (often used for verification purposes with Google Search Console).
Login to your NOVA client area, and select your package:
Next, scroll down to the Control Panel section and click the CPANEL button.
Under the Domains section, click the Zone Editor option.
Next, click the Manage button under the desired domain.
Once the page loads, click the downward arrow on the Add Record button in the top-right corner. This will open up a dropdown list.
In this example, we’ll select the TXT record from the dropdown list and fill in the following fields:
Name – full domain and subdomain (including a period at the end)
TTL – leave as is
Type – select TXT
Record – paste the record Google provided for verification purposes (i.e. the ‘verification text’)
Once completed, click the Add Record button to save it.
Using filters, we can filter our TXT records:
And see that our new record has been added to the DNS zone.
Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to propagate globally, in simpler terms, this means it can take up to 24 hours for you to see these changes on the internet :).
